Join us for a historic and spirit-filled weekend as we celebrate 50 years of ministry at True Vine Community COGIC! The Golden Jubilee is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and we are honored to commemorate this occasion with a series of dynamic events that reflect our rich legacy, our present impact, and the bright future ahead.

Friday, June 6th – “The Sons and Daughters of The Vine” | 7:00 PM
We are kicking off the celebration with a powerful homecoming service featuring True Vine family from past to present. Experience an evening of worship, reflection, and inspiration as we honor the foundation upon which we stand.

Saturday, June 7th – The Legacy Walk & Naming Ceremony | 9:00 AM
We will honor the life and legacy of our Founder, Bishop Leo C. Brown Jr., with a special Legacy Walk and Naming Ceremony. The morning will begin with the renaming of our street to Leo C. Brown Jr. Street, in partnership with Mayor Victoria Woodards and other city officials. 

We will then embark on a 2.1-mile journey from True Vine Tacoma to Progress House, where we will celebrate its renaming as The Leo C. Brown Jr. House—a lasting tribute to his commitment to community and transformation.

Saturday, June 7th – The Golden Jubilee Gala | 6:00 PM
The celebration continues with an elegant evening of fellowship, fine dining, and reflection on True Vine’s journey over the past 50 years. This formal gala will feature special guests, powerful testimonies, and a keynote address from none other than Presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle, Bishop J. Drew Sheard.

Sunday, June 8th – Pentecost Sunday | 3:00 PM
Our Golden Jubilee Weekend culminates in a powerful Pentecost Sunday service. Just as the disciples waited 50 days for the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, we are celebrating 50 years of God’s faithfulness to True Vine! This grand finale service will be filled with anointed worship, divine impartation, and a mighty Word from our very own Assistant Superintendent Ronelle C. Jones.
